Scorpion vs Sub-Zero

Commissioned

Client gave me a four sectioned circle with two letters in the middle, saying he wanted diamond, ruby, onyx, and sapphire to be in each section. It was up to me to decide how it looked, so with a very short deadline, I went the classic 4 elements route, trying to color-match the gems with the element. I kinda liked how it turned out, though I felt I could have done better on onyx.

Commission

A friend of mine who liked Majin Buu wanted me to do a fusion of him and his favorite DBZ character for a tattoo. For a simple drawing to be used a stencil, I liked it enough to add color to it.

Listened to the song named The Humbling River, and came up with this vision of a young man, full of ambition and arrogance, trying to cross the sea. Time and time, he tries again, leading men out to only have ships go lost or get wiped out by storms. No matter how many attempts, the sea humbled his ambitions again and again. The man grows in knowledge, but his determination never faltered. He grows older, creating cities, spanning his kingdom over vast lands, achieved great things, but that sea kept humbling him. This drawing is how I imagine him, a older, matured king, still staring down that ocean in the cold of winter, still desiring to cross the sea that will never let him pass. To be honest, this was just a spur of the moment sketch that I didn't take too much time on, but since I don't have many 'realistic' drawings, I thought to include it here.

Commission

Had a buddy running sports tickets amongst his friends and wanted to create a mini-business out of it. Nothing serious, but he liked the idea of having a going name and a binder to keep it all in. Wanted to decorate the binder. All he provided was the name "Running Man" and the slogan "Catch Me If You Can." The idea of people betting in hopes to "get away with the cash" was kind of the theme here, so I my mind went in the direction of all kinds of GTA, mafia, or Mission Impossible-type stuff. I don't remember if he suggested the stick man concept or I came up with it myself, but with a blank sheet of paper, this is what I came up with.
